People have played this game for four thousand years. We restored it seven times over, era by era, and taught it to sit quietly in your pocket.
Seven eras, one board
Nine Men's Morris is older than chess. Boards are cut into the roofing slabs of an Egyptian temple and carved into the cloister seats of English cathedrals, and the rules have barely moved in all that time. The app carries the game through seven eras, each with its own board, its own pair of piece sets, and its own opponents. A short, true history of the game is included, so you know whose footsteps you are playing in.

Four modes, one rulebook
- Career
- Start among the cave painters and earn your way to UltraModern. Each era brings themed opponents with their own habits at the board.
- Quick play
- Pick an era, pick an opponent, play. No ceremony.
- Time challenge
- The same rules against a running clock, for people who think faster than they should.
- Local two player
- Pass the device across the table. The oldest multiplayer there is.

Three rules, learnt in a minute
- 1. Place
- You and your opponent take turns putting nine pieces each on the board's twenty-four points.
- 2. Mill
- Line up three of your pieces along a marked line and you have a mill. Every mill lets you remove one enemy piece.
- 3. Move
- Once placed, pieces slide between neighbouring points. Reduce your opponent to two pieces, or block every move they have, and the board is yours.

When it arrives on the App Store, the game will be free to download and play. A single purchase of £3.99 will unlock every era, once, forever. There is nothing else to buy and nothing on a meter.
It collects no personal data. No account, no analytics, no adverts. Payment is handled by Apple, and RevenueCat confirms purchases anonymously so restore works across your devices. The privacy policy is short enough to actually read.
