Pixel Puppets privacy policy

The short version: Pixel Puppets doesn't collect anything. There are no accounts, no adverts, no analytics and no tracking. Everything your child draws stays on your device.

Who we are

Pixel Puppets is made by Lydex Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17117278). We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO registration reference ZC112933). You can contact us at ed@lydexsolutions.co.uk.

What stays on your device

Your child's puppets (drawings, animations, layers and the names they give them), their own stamps and the app's settings are saved only on the device they use. We never receive them, and the app never sends them anywhere. If you delete the app, everything it saved is deleted with it. You can also delete any puppet inside the app.

Purchases

The full studio is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see names, email addresses or payment details. The app asks the store whether the full studio has been bought so it can unlock it, and remembers the answer on the device. Purchases and the Restore button sit behind a grown-ups check.

Age signals

In places where the law requires it (currently some US states), the app asks the App Store or Google Play for an age range that a parent or the store has already set. The answer is used only while the app is open, is never saved and is never sent to us or anyone else.

Saving and sharing pictures

A grown-up can save a picture, GIF or poster to the device or share it using the device's own share options. This only happens behind the grown-ups check and only when someone chooses to do it. We don't receive anything that is saved or shared.

The web version

The free web version works the same way. It uses no cookies and no analytics. Your browser stores the app's files so it works offline, and keeps your child's puppets in the browser's own storage on that device. Clearing your browser's site data for Pixel Puppets deletes them.

Links to other apps and websites

The Grown-ups area, behind the grown-ups check, links to our website and to our other apps on the App Store and Google Play. Those links contain no tracking.

Emails to us

If a grown-up chooses to email us, we use the message only to reply and delete it when it is no longer needed.

Children

Pixel Puppets is designed for children aged 8 to 12. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, there is nothing to share, sell or profile. It follows the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, Apple's Kids Category rules and Google Play's Families policy.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
