Pawpens privacy policy

Last updated: 26 September 2026

The short version: Pawpens collects no personal data. There are no accounts, no adverts, no analytics and no tracking. The game sends nothing about you or your child to us or to anyone else. Everything it remembers stays on your device.

Who we are

Pawpens is made by LyDex Solutions Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17117278). We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (registration number ZC112933). You can contact us at ed@lydexsolutions.co.uk.

What the game keeps, and where

To remember your place, Pawpens stores on your device: which levels have been finished or skipped, the stickers collected, your settings (music, sound effects, buzzes, animal patterns, less movement and text size), whether the full zoo has been unlocked, and the level in progress. This stays in the app's own storage on your device. We cannot see it, and it is never sent to us.

To clear levels and stickers, open Grown-ups in the game and choose Reset progress (your settings and the unlock stay). To remove everything, delete the app.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is sold by Apple through the App Store, or by Google through Google Play. They handle the payment and the account, under their own privacy policies. We never see card details or who made a purchase. On iPhone and iPad, Family Sharing lets up to six family members share the unlock; Apple manages this.

Age checks required by law

Some places, currently the US state of Texas with others to follow, require apps to check an age range provided by Apple or Google. Where that applies, Pawpens asks the App Store or Google Play, on your device, for an age range and whether a parent has approved the game. The answer is used only to follow that law. It is not stored and is never sent to us or to anyone else. The game is exactly the same at every age.

Children

Pawpens is designed for children aged 6 to 12. We collect no personal data from anyone, children included. There is no chat, no sharing, no location and nothing made by other players. The purchase and the only two links in the game (this page and our website) sit behind a grown-ups check.

What we never do

No accounts or sign-in. No adverts, ever. No analytics, crash reporting or tracking. No third-party code that sends data. No access to location, camera, microphone, photos or contacts. No notifications.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data held about you. Because the app gives us no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete, but you are welcome to ask us anything. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If we ever change how Pawpens handles information, we will update this page and the date above before the change reaches the game.
