Pawpaths: Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
Overview
Pawpaths is a cosy zoo puzzle for families, and it is private by design. There are no adverts, no tracking, no gameplay analytics and no accounts. Your zoos, stars, stickers and the names you give the animals stay on your device.
What We Collect
No gameplay data, statistics or personal information is ever sent to us or to anyone else, and there is no account system. Your progress, saved zoos, stickers, animal names and settings are stored only on your device, and the game works fully offline. The one exception is the optional unlock, described below.
Purchases
Pawpaths is free to download. The optional one time unlock ("Unlock everything") is paid for through Apple or Google, who handle all payment details. To deliver it, the app uses RevenueCat, a purchase management service that acts on our behalf. RevenueCat only starts when a grown-up opens the unlock or restores a purchase, after the grown-ups question; until then the game sends nothing anywhere.
When it starts, RevenueCat receives a random identifier it creates for this copy of the app, the purchase record from Apple or Google, and basic technical details such as the device type, the operating system version and the app version. On iPhone and iPad, requests also carry the identifier Apple gives each app maker for a device (identifierForVendor). None of this contains your name, email address or any account. It is used only to deliver, check and restore your purchase and to show us simple purchase totals. It is never used for advertising or tracking, never sold and never shared with anyone else. RevenueCat's own privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Photos and Sharing
Photo Mode makes a postcard picture of your zoo. It only leaves the game when a grown-up answers the grown-ups question and then chooses where to send it through the phone's own share sheet; nothing is shared automatically.
Backups and Your Data
In the Grown-ups area you can back up your progress as a single file and restore it on another device. The file goes only where you choose to send it. Deleting the app deletes all locally stored data.
Children's Privacy
Pawpaths is made for families, and children will play it. The game collects nothing from children: the purchase service only starts after a grown-up answers the grown-ups question to buy or restore the unlock. There are no adverts, no chat, no links out of the game and no way to contact other players. Purchases, sharing a postcard and the grown-up settings all sit behind that question, so young players cannot open them by accident.
Age Checks
Some places, such as Texas in the United States, require apps to check a player's age range through the app store. Where that applies, the App Store or Google Play tells Pawpaths the player's age range (for example under 13) and whether a parent has given consent. Nothing in the game changes with age. The answer stays on the device while the game is open: it is never saved, never sent to us, to RevenueCat or to anyone else, and it is forgotten when the game closes.
Your Rights
Under UK data protection law you have rights over any personal data held about you: to be informed, to access it, to have it corrected or erased, and to object to how it is used. We hold nothing that identifies you. Payment records are held by Apple or Google. If you would like the purchase record kept by RevenueCat deleted, email us with the order number from your Apple or Google receipt and we will delete it; your unlock stays with your Apple or Google account and comes back with Restore purchases. If you have any question about your rights, contact us using the details below.
